HIGH SCHOOL TERMS & COSTS
 We arrange for Students aged 16-18 from anywhere in the world to
come and study in a British School. This can be for up to a full
academic year.
1. Homestay - the student is welcomed into the home as a family member
and share fully in family life. Therefore, all meals are included: breakfast, lunch
and an evening meal.
2. We expect the students to arrange their own insurance.
3. Each student normally has their own room in the home where they are
staying.
4. Each student chooses the subjects they want to study. The choice is
determined by what is possible on the school's timetable, and the personal
preference of the student. PLEASE NOTE: each student joins in subjects along
with the British pupils and therefore it is vital that their knowledge of English is
such that they can understand what is being taught, and participate fully in
lessons.
5. There is no guardian formally appointed, however the host family in effect
fulfill this role and have responsibilities towards their guest.
THE APPLICANTS
a) Age of the student - 16 - 18
b) The students must have a good knowledge of English.
THE PROGRAM INCUDES
a) The schools are located within the UK.
b) Families within the locality of the school for each student to live with
for the duration of their course. The money paid to these families will
cover all normal living costs such as food etc., but will not include
pocket money or money for trips or activities.
c) The students will have on arrival orientation.
d) Transport to the host family
e) Transport to the departure airport at the end their stay
f) Progress reports for each student
g) Local contact for each student.
PRICES:
Application fee - $1000 (applies to all programs)
Academic Semester (Autumn or Spring Term) - $6000
Academic Year - $9,000
Full year (47 weeks) - $11,000
This fee does not include: activity allowance, personal spending
money, travels to the UK, or insurance.
Payment schedule
1. Application fee - $1000 is due with the application form.
2. 50% of the program fees are due within 21 days of the student
being accepted, and the rest of the fee as soon as visa is
obtained.
Cancellation policy:
If any student cancels, pay the following fees:
1. Cancellation after the student is accepted on the
program - $1000
2. Cancellation after the student received a visa – 100%
3. Cancellation after 21 days of acceptance but before
arrival - 50%
4. Cancellation after term has commenced - 100%
5. We will refund full fees if the student cannot get visa (the
fees will be refunded after we receive all original invitation
papers and a refusal letter from the UK consulate).
6. Bank charges apply to all refunds.
